Arts Information Delivered to Your PC, Blackberry or Handheld PDA
What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an easy way to get the very latest arts
and cultural event information you want wherever you are, and whenever it's
updated! The Arts Council of Indianapolis provides continually updated event
feeds and delivers them directly to your desktop or handheld device in an
easy to read, easy to use format. So you'll know about every new show,
exhibit or performance just seconds after we do!
How can you use RSS?
You can access RSS feeds several ways. One is to install news reader software.
This is similar to an email program or Web browser. There are many programs available.
Some are free and some must be paid for. Popular news reader software includes
FeedReader,
RSS Reader,
SharpReader,
Feed Demon.
Another way to access RSS feeds is via a web site. Popular sites include
Bloglines and
MyYahoo. A list of the many
options can also be found
here.
Because different news reader software requires different steps for adding
a new feed, you should follow the instructions for the aggregator that you use.
You may use our RSS feeds, free of charge, for use by individuals for personal,
non-commercial use provided you do not publish the full text of our articles.
You must also properly reference "indyarts.org" as the source.
