About My Work:
My art work is both abstract and figurative. It is expressive. My creative process is intuitive I start with lines and let them tell me what they wish to become. There is a lot of layering in my work due to my backround in fiber.

Artist Statement/Bio:
Creating an artwork is like working on a puzzle. The process begins with an idea of color and shape. I lay it out in paint or dye and I step back from the work. I look for patterns and images to appear. I let the painting or fiber piece tell me what it wants to be and I work to create that. My work has a lyrical quality that I attribute to the musical influence of my family. Art provides a refuge for me in a fast paced chaotic world. My art is like a puzzle. It can be frustrating but when the pieces fit it’s magical.
