About My Work:

As a visual artist I combine both traditional and digital photographic processes with new media technology in a manner that produces a truly distinctive artistic medium. In the production of my prints, I employ a variety of pigment inks while experimenting with archival emulsions that allow me to prepare a broader range of papers, as well as, unconventional substrates like aluminum panels, acrylic sheets and acetate films for digital printing.

Pricing Information:
Print prices range from $200.00 - $2,400.00

Artist Statement/Bio:

I began my career in the mid 1970's. As a self-taught photographer on the streets of Harlem I was captivated by the broad cultural diversity that was so abundant in New York City. That interest in culture has since been at the fore of my artistic expression as I have explored the African Diaspora documenting the legacy of elevating influences and retentions of Africa's contributions to the cultures of the Americas.

Central to the core of my art are issues related to migration as a transforming agent in cultural evolution. Through my images I strive to interpret the ways cultural relationships were established along the path of the African slave trade and create pictorials that bear witness to that legacy.
