Generations of Animation
Indianapolis Museum of Art
Attendees will spend an afternoon enjoying animation from across generations at this all-ages program. From noon to 1 pm and again from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, screen short films and clips showcasing hand-drawn animation (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, 1937), stop-motion animation (Teeny Little Super Guy, 1982), clay animation (Western Spaghetti, 2009), and computer-generated imagery (Secret of the Kells, 2009), and six others. The film selections showcase how technology has shaped children’s film, and film in general, over the decades. At 1 pm and 3:30 pm, adults and older children can participate in demonstrations on current film technologies, while younger film buffs (ages 4 and up) can participate in hands-on activities. Visit imamuseum.org for a detailed schedule of the day’s activities.
