An Evening with the Moscow Ballet
International Center of Indianapolis
The Moscow Ballet brings the world-renowned Russian style of dance to Indianapolis December 6 with its reimagined version of the holiday favorite The Nutcracker. With a focus on different countries and a vision of world peace, this Nutcracker is unlike any Nutcracker seen before.
The International Center of Indianapolis is proud to partner with the Moscow Ballet for an evening of exceptional performance.
Set against Valentin Fedorov's spectacular hand-painted backdrops and life-sized dancing puppets, the Great Russian Nutcracker delights audiences with a visual tapestry rich in detail and whimsy. Mr. Fedorov, an Honored Artist of Chuvashia, was a protégée of the legendary designer Valery Leventhal of the Bolshoi Theatre.
This production is especially distinctive for its unique setting of Act II in the "Land of Peace and Harmony" and for the introduction of a new character, a Christmas Dove.
The Moscow Ballet features top graduates of Perm, Vaganova, Moscow State Academic Choreographic and Kiev schools. Acclaimed for exquisite dancing and gorgeous costumes, critics rave that the Great Russian Nutcracker is "flawless," "breathtaking," and "dazzling."
The International Center of Indianapolis has secured premier seating for the event. By purchasing tickets through the Center, you can enjoy prime seats -- and support the Center.
