Broad Ripple Lights Up! Broad Ripple Village Association
Broad Ripple Village shops kick off the holiday season with children's activities and the first twilight holiday parade in the city. Enjoy food, entertainment and carriage rides. Businesses and residents participate and vote online in holiday decorating contest. The whole family is invited to a holiday party in Broad Ripple Village; a full day of activities and fun will culminate in the lighting of the 21' tall tree at 6:45 p.m. sponsored by M&I Bank at the firehouse on Guilford Avenue where Santa will announce the winners of the third annual holiday house and business decorating contest, and prize packages will be awarded. The grand prize winner of the Merchants' Punch Card Raffle will be announced. The day will include: • 3-5 p.m. Jingle John, his elves and live reindeer and children's craft activities at the firehouse at Westfield and Guilford. Enjoy free carriage rides through the Village. • 5:00 p.m. A twilight parade starting at Broad Ripple High School will bring Santa to the Village. Contact Diane Seybert for information on how to enter a float in the parade. • 6:00 p.m. Santa arrives at the firehouse, live music and announcing of the winners of the prize packages for the decorating contest open to all homes in Broad Ripple and all businesses in the area.
