They Call Me Mr. Fry
Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival (IndyFringe)

The true life story of a first-year teacher, “Mr.Fry”, in South Central Los Angeles, teaching a 5th grade class. The play powerfully represents the relationship between Mr. Fry and two challenging students. Packed with humor and drama, it's a coming of age story not only for the students, but for the teacher as well. This funny yet poignant TRUE STORY will have you laughing and crying for a teacher having to deal with students, the system, and finally with his own fragile existence.

This certainly is a must-see one-man show written by and starring Jack Fry (Freiberger) which has been getting standing ovations before packed houses in New York and Los Angeles. The show runs 90 minutes.

What happens when a white boy from Indiana ends up teaching fifth graders in South Central Los Angeles?

The critics say… “... a must see”, “A Touching Story,” “Gritty but hopeful ,” “Endearing and charismatic,” “Uniformly Excellent!” , “A talented blend of comedy and emotion.”
