Documenting your Artwork

Artist Professional Development, Artist Resources

A key element of presenting your artwork for gallery representation, calls for artists, grants, fellowships and more, is the quality of your documentation. The images of your artwork must be professionally photographed or scanned - or at least look like they were!

The list below names Indianapolis-based artist-friendly photographers who are experienced in shooting both 2D and 3D artwork for artist portfolios.

If you would like to have your artwork professionally scanned, we recommend Heartland Printworks at the Stutz Business Center in downtown Indianapolis. http://heartlandprintworks.com

If  you would like to photograph your own artwork, Indianapolis-based photographer Mike Loudermilk has created a simple and easy to follow guide to help.
